  1. Hello very brainy people!

I have looked over your wise words of wisdom for a long time but now i have become very stuck with a problem.

I have some amazing home grown dvd's with loads of music vidoes on them (thanks to previous helpers with the 99 track limit questions) but now i am wondering "how the hell do i alter the volume of the tracks"?

Surely someone else must have had the problem where by some "tracks" have very low audio and some are very high - is there such as thing as a "normaliser" for mpg2/dvd files prior to authoring or is there any software whcih will allow you to change the volume?

    Any info would be great.

    Josh.

You might want to look further down this page this topic. ' How to normalize the sound?'

Gees: I was trying to make a black cat out of him for halloween, but not that easy. Kind of a dumb question, but how do you link to another topic with html as you did?

Edit: Sorry, it's been a long day. (Use the address bar at the top of the screen.)

EDIT AGAIN: josh4u: If you're still with us, do a forum search for 'normalize' and you should be able to find what you need.

  6. Another Quickie guys...

Ok here's what happened - used tmpgenc to demux the vob to m2v and ac3 (audio) i then used headac3he to convert the ac3 audio to a WAV file - i then used sound forge to increase the volume of my track and made sure that is was saved as a 48000 rate wav file.

Use variousl software to then make a dvd with the m2v video and new wav audio - looks as though everything was ok but then when i tried to view the file using power dvd - it was out of sync by about 0.5 seconds?

Any info / help as ever would be appreciated

    I'm going nuts here

    Josh.
