Hello people,
this is Twilight Zone stuff...until 2-3 days ago the Scheduler function in WinDVR3 was working perfectly, not it doesn't anymore...i create a task, set it for 5 minutes later and wait to see if it kicks in recording..well, it doesn't!!
It also seems that NONE of my other schedulers are working anymore as well!!! I have IuVCR, VirtualVCR and tried ShowShifter as well...basically i CANNOT use timer functions anymore, no matter what software i use!
I had a Radeon 9800SE AIW for a day, then i removed it and got a 9800Pro instead, w/o AIW functions. I had installed all the MMC and WDM capture drivers, but i also UNinstalled everything before i changed the cards.
Please help me here, i'm clueless!!!!!
PS - WinDVR is the ONLY one that has good picture, is it because it deinterlaces everything? I use PAL in my area.
Coonfig: WinXP SP1, 2.6C P4, 512MB, Radeon 9800Pro, Omega 2.4.96b drivers, Hauppauge WinTV GO, Pioneer DVR-A06...

Bigtime bump, people?
I waited 4 years for the Rugby World Cup and now i can't record the games???? Just think that the Superbowl would be held every other 4 years or something...wouldn't you freak out?
Or should i just do it the hard way, wipe out C: , reinstall XP? Prolly save me time... -

Yea the 9800Pro has no tuner, that's why i installed the Hauppauge Wintv Go back in...maybe there is confusion since i don't think ATI removed all the components properly when i took the 9800SE AIW out...
Man, i hate re-installing
PS - Weird thing happened with Showshifter as well...first time i ran it i could see TV, set up channels, etc...then second time i ran it there is no more TV view function!?! Just media browsing, programming guide, etc...
Anyone know of good capture software for Linux that lets me record straight to MPEG2? I was so happy i finally out a good preset together in WinDVR (480x576, 2500kbps, 25fps, 224kbps audio)...basically SVCD for DVDAllowed me to capture more than 3 hours onto a DVD-R...
PS - By the way, PowerVCR crashes straight away after start... -
Re-install didn;t work...it's almost 5AM, im tired ,i'm pissed and i feel like throwing this piece of crap out of the window....
any ideas anyone of you geniuses? there seem to be quite a lot of ppl complaing about this behaviour in v3. -
Hmm, it worked last night....i didn't change or install anything...the only thing that was different was the time before the recording started.
I usually tried to do a test record as soon as possible (timer won;t allow you to set it within 3min of actual time). This time i just set it to start couple of hours ahead...and it recorded!!!??!!
Big time confusion... -
dual boot! only install software that you know works onto your "safe" partition after you have tested it on your "testing" partition. What do you expect when you install x then uninstall x and install y, I bet you DIDNT re-boot after each step. It works NOW becuase you turned it off and rebooted this morning? change one thing at a time .. first rule
2nd rule .. if it works dont f... change itCorned beef is now made to a higher standard than at any time in history.
The electronic components of the power part adopted a lot of Rubycons. -
naah, wrong direction here...
i rebooted after every step don't worry about that. How do you explain that after a clean install (and 10000 reboots inbetween) the scheduler didn't work the FIRST time i tried it??
Or do you mean that we should reboot every time BEFORE and AFTER runnning this piece of crap software? LOL
PS - WinDVR3, piece of crap scheduler-wise but the BEST picture quality so far!
