    Hi i have just started downloading avi files and converting them to svcd to use on my dvd player my problem is Nero is taking hours to change the format and it takes a load of cdr discs every time, i have downloaded easy film cutter to cut the film i bought dvd+r discs but after 2hours of decoding 1\3 of a film my cd burner spat it out.
    Any help apreciated

    Sure, go to the Convert section and find another way other than Nero to encode your AVIs to MPEG SVCDs. TMPGEnc is good, among others.
