Can someone point me in the right direction for getting blank DVD cases...single is all i need with the plastic so I could slip covers in them. Sick of buying 5 for 3.99 at Walmart...I want to buy like a 50 or 100 pack...and ofcourse for the cheapest price available

    Thanks

  4. The discounts come when you buy by the case, 100 pieces. Only problem is you get killed on shipping. shop4tech sells them by the case with free shipping $35. I've never seen them for less than $29 with free shipping. I usually go to the computer shows where I can get them for $16 for a case of 100.

Go to Blockbuster Video. They throw out empty cases on certain days of the week. I picked up a box of them for free, some of them doubles.

I bought a 100 pack of Double Cases (which I buy just in case) is $24 last time I checked. Cheapest price I've been able to find.

Note - evertything at rima.com is sold in bulk. 100 is normally the smallest number you can buy

I got lucky about 2 years ago when AOL put their worthless discs into DVD cases - free at WalMart. They even had nice inserts that had the advertising on the front, but it's nice white glossy paper on the back, perfect for printing on... so in about 15 minutes, I carted over 100 cases off (the cashier asked me why I needed so many free AOL discs, I told her I have a lot of friends who want to sign up).
They had a huge display with at least 1000 of those discs, but by the time I came back a couple of days later they were all gone. First, we got free floppys from AOL, now DVD cases. Thanks, AOL!!
BTW: I guess AOL figured out the cases were worth more than what's inside (to say the least) and I never saw them again. Pity...

  13. WalMart - 8.88 per 50

    Sam's Club 11.88 per 100.

I dont have pricing probs using these two sources.
Boy do I love my avatar!

  14. I haven't been to Sam's club lately, but you sure thats 100 "DVD" cases for $11.88??
I got 100 plastic thinline cd case there awhile back for a little more than that, like $15 I think. But I never saw DVD cases! Maybe they didn't have em yet where I was at??

  15. I think that's the price for slim-jewel cases, not DVD cases. Rima has the best prices I can find (and I really looked around). Like I said I bought the double cases because I often want to put two discs in one case (saves space or for backups).

    The singles are even cheaper.

I usually get cases wherever I order my disc from. Rima.com, shop4tech.com, meritline.com so on and so on.

BUT my local Frys carries Meritline cases in 10 packs for about $4. A little much but ok for a fast case pickup.

  17. Again, cheaper at the computer shows. vice86, go to the MarketPro shows, that's where I get mine. Many dealers will have them about $20 a hundred for the single DVD cases, but there is one dealer I buy from in NY who has them in brand new unopened boxes for $16.

  18. For those UK based guys (all Dvd media is more expensive here isnt it!), ebuyer.com has

    100 singles @ £6.99
    100 Doubles @ £8.99
    100 quad (holds 4 discs) cases @ £11.99

    Not amarays but great prices
