Hey all, I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post this but it said problems with CD writers.

I recently bought Nero 6 because I will be getting my Optorite DD0203 soon and wanted to use Nero 6 to burn. I installed Nero 6 and tried to burn a cd with my existing burner (HP 9100i). It starts the burn ok with the "Used read buffer" at 100% and the CD burner buffer at 100%. About 10 seconds after the burn starts the CPU usage of nero jumps up to 96-100% and then the "Used read buffer" goes down to 0. Then the CD burner buffer goes down to 0 and I get a buffer underrun. I tried installing the updates from the Nero website but it still didn't work.

I know it's not my burner or a problem with that because I can burn CD's with Roxio at 8x without a problem.

I am running a 900Mhz Athlon CPU on an ASUS motherboard. I'm running Win2k SP3(or whatever the newest one is).

Does anyone have any suggestions? I want to get Nero working so that when my DVD writer comes I can use that to burn DVD's

Thanks for your help!
