  1. I am confused on this stuff.
    conversion:dat to mpg,avi to mpg (for VCD SVCD use)
    conversion:avi to mpg (for DVD use)
    these 2 mpg files are same at all?
    Or what's the difference between them?

    Search Comp PM
    Mpeg1=VCD
    Mpeg2=DVD

    If you capture via AVI file you need to convert to an MPEG (1 or 2) via software, or you can capture directly as MPEG (1 or 2) via hardware. In both case you need an Authoring program like TmpGenc Author to create a DVD file structure for burning. Search this site for AutoShrinkISO, you can find a freeware method of creating a DVD.

  3. VCD uses MPEG-1
    DVD uses MPEG-2, but so does SVCD & CVD.

    What exactly are you confused about rsb? - I don't think I understand the question!!
