I have have been trying to create a VCD with chapters using an mpeg1 file that I had originally converted with CANOPUS. I created the chapters in both VCDEasy and NerioVision and both times the chapters do not appear when I play the cd in my standalone DVD player (Cyberhome CH-DVD 405). What could be the reason for this? The fact that neither Nero nor VCDEasy did the job sucessfully makes me wonder (VCD normally always works). The video file just appears as one long chapter. I would be thankful for any input

Ah OK. Am I therefore right in assuming the fact that the player supports DVD chapters does not mean it supports VCD chapters?

Same prob with VCD and xVCD chapters on my JVC - 523 DVD player.
Might be that yr player doesnt support VCD chapters as lordsmurf said. DVD chapter support doesnt mean it supports VCD chapters too.The Truth Is Out There - X Files
