ok... I'm using Virtual Dub, and have succesfully added my filters for subtitleing, converted my .srt file to .ssa, and i can even see a preview of how it looks!
The problem i am having, is with saving the file. The file when loaded is in .avi format, and i wish to keep it this way, but with the subtitles now added.
IF i try direct streaming copy (which is what I'm used to), it wont let me save it with the subtitles added in.
The only thing i could think of doing was re-proccessing it.. so i chose dIVX format.. and im looking at 10 hours to do this!
does anyone know how i can save the file the same as its origional, but with the subtitles turned on... in a quick amount of time?
any help would be appreciated
thanks
DC

Why is waiting ten hours for your video such a horrenous thing? If you do choose to encode your video with DivX, by this time tomorrow, you would have had your subtitled video for 14 hours!
