  1. I am using TMPGenc to encode the mpeg files after using smartripper to rip and then using dvd2avi to create .wav and the .dv2 file. I am using toolame as an external audio encoder through TMPGenc when I encode and when toolame starts to creat the wave it goes to a certain point and crashes "toolame caused and invalid page fault in toolame.exe yada yada" Anyone have any ideas. I try starting it again and it will always crash at the same point in the encoding process. IS it disk space? how much space does it need to create the temporal wave file and all that? I am short of space at times when doing these. any suggestions.?

I have the exact same problem. It's NOT disk space, because I have atleadt 60GB free. It happens on random occassions to me. I have yet to wait for information how to fix this nasty problem. =|

My only solution has been to encode the audio in a separate file with VirtualDub, process it separately from the DOS prompt and them multiplex it..
Each time I tried no matter what the file it always crashed between 20% and 30%. I followed all the installation instructions an flexion.org and it just won't work with TMPGEnc. Any ideas will definitely be appreciated.

  5. The problem isn't working with TMPGEnc. If you issue the Toolame command from the command line, it will also crash. This happens with some WAV files and not others. The only thing I can suggest is get a program called wav2mp as an alternative when this happens - I use toolame for the 80% of the time that it doesn't crash and wav2mp when it does.
