I just bought a NEC 1300a dvd burner and burnt with no problem using some memorex dvd's from compusa. The dvd's played fine everywhere (in home player too and burnt perfectly). I noticed that there wasn't any speed listing (2x or 4x) on the package, and I just ordered some 4x memorex's off amazon. I was wondering if 4x dvd-r's will burn at 2x, and not give any different problems playing in your home dvd player. My burner is a 4x, but for some reason, with the dvd-r's i did buy, it only gave a 2x burn option in nero.
So my question is could you burn a 4x dvd-r at 2x? Also, Can you use a 4x dvd-r in a 2x burner (just wondering). Also, if a 2x memorex dvd plays in your home player, is a 4x memorex dvd likely too?
Sorry for all the dumb questions, i'm new to all this.![]()
