Hi !!!
I was thinking about buying a player that has divx-xvid capability.
I saw that the (xvid-divx)movies are encoded in pal format(both res and 25fps). I have a apex 1500 now and whenever I play a svcd in pal format the picture get compressed from 576 to 480.
I have searched this board to find some answer to my question.
Does the pal format divx and xvid also get compressed or is there a setting in these new players that correct for that other than the zoom function. Usually when you use the zoom function you get a lower picture quality.
and how does the picture look when you do ntsc resolution but PAL framrate 25fps ?
Well i hope someone in usa know this and can clarify that to me, so i know what to expect IF I do buy one.
My tv is a regular 4:3 ntsc only tv. I will buy a hdtv widescreen next year after we move.
