  1. ok.. i first was capturing with the Voodoo3500 and it was great except for the 320x240 limit.. so i bought the MSI Tv@nywhere and for the price i didnt think i could beat it.. well i was running dual monitors with a Geforce4 MMX 440 64mb and a old PCI Video card.. i thought at first it was the 2nd pci card locking it up.. but i took it out and all worked good.. now i have the Tv@nywhere in there and sometimes i can go 2mins to an hour and it locks up completely.. having power off and power back on.. i have tried 3rd party software other than the WINDVR and still same thing.. updated drivers still same.. i have uninstalled the Intervideo WINDVR thinking it was a software conflict or something still locks.. um.. i have the VCR hooked with Composit and the Digital Box SVID.. the only thing i can think of is that the hard ware is bad.. but i have had it replaced cause the remote didnt work at all after replace it works but it still locks up.. so really dont know if the card just sucks, dont like my pc, or hard ware conflict... I am a PC Tech and own my own pc buisness so i know my way around the pc.. most of the time ... has anyone else had this problem or anything? .... or should i get a new *DIFF* card?

Your machine sounds a lot like mine, excepd VooDoo vid, and 98SE, and the board, of course.

I've had my card for about a year. It has locked up on me once, only, and that was after several hours, how many, I never checked, as I don't know what the hell was on later, anyhow.

Last night I tried to capture a 1 hour movie, went to bed, and came back down to find it had capped 8 hours or more, no lockup.

I have DL'd and installed everything at the mfg's site, and am using the supplied WinDVR.

I don't think it's your card. Mine works a hell of a lot better than the PCTV and Hauppage cards it replaced.

BTW, that's with nothing in the Systray disabled, virus prog and all.

Well I think i have tried to disable everything the Systray.. disable all running programs from the background.. and it still did it.. is this an XP thing?... almost tempted to put my VOODOO3 3500 back in here.. even thought not supported on XP was still able to get it to work without it locking up.. dont know.. but im getting fed up with it.. I want to know if its a Hardware/Software conflict?.. take to long to take out hardware.. so.. anyone have ideas?

    Thanks for the fast reply
