  1. Hello everyone! I am so excited to finally be apart of a forum. Ok, here's my problem. I am currently trying to make copies of my DVD's using the 321 Studio's software DVD X Copy Express. When I copy movies using DVD+R or +RW CD's it works perfectly. However, when I've used DVD-R CD's the copies have been incomplete. It will begin copying the movie then leave a large chunk of info off of the CD, thus leaving it incomplete. Looking at it you can see where it begins to burn on the CD, then it stops in the middle, then you can see the where the burn starts up again. The result is when you put it in to play you see the opening credits of the movie, then it freezes. I am so confused I don't know what to do. I have used TDK -R's CD's & Memorex -R's & neither has performed any differently. Does anyone please have any answers?!?! Thanks in advance!

First off welcome, but if you expect to get help please become familiar with terminology. You keep Mixing the terms DVD -r and CDs together. I am confused now to what you are working with. What writer do you have? And have you attempted a firmware upgrade on the device? What OS are you using? What position is the drive on the IDE cable, Master or Slave and is it on IDE 1 or 2? Let's start with that. One more thing. Due you have the latest update to DVD X Copy Express from the 321 Studios web site. If not you can get it to the left under tools. It will link to their web site.

  3. Sorry. It's just a DVD, not a CD. As far the writer, I have a TDK 440 N indiDVD+/-R & +/-RW Burner. I just purchased the software last week so I'm assuming that I have the most up to date copy of DVD X Copy Express. I had them actually install the burner at Best Buy, so I'm assuming that the wiring is done correctly as far as the Slave & the Master hook up. Does this help?

Yes and No. I hate Best Buy. I do all my computer work. You could assume this, but as far as X Copy goes. The box was probally produced with its contents months ago. There have been several updates to the software to support different writers and media and alot of bug fixes. The current version has a little box that says full disk that you can put a check mark in. Go to their site and get the latest update. You'll need to uninstall the old copy before installing the new one. Good luck.
