    Hi,
    I have a Olympus Z-3030 digi camera.
When I transfer photos from memory card to pc, the date is set-to-todays-date.

I would like a program that reads pictures date (hidden inside the file there is info on which camera used etc..), and converts the file date.
(..like ACDSee can extract info on the files)

Any program that does this ?

  7. try almost any album program like jasc photo shop or adobe photo album . They will allow you to re date your files from the exif data (that is the data your camera stores with the print). Dont just download your files with explorer use your camera software to do it. what import software?? we are not mind readers!! there are even shareware and free programs to do this, try to find out. mag cover CDR's.
the c3030 has a serial connection ? I used to own a c3040, good but too big and bulky for everyday use. :P

hey, thanks. Yes, exatcly what you saying - that is what I want.
    I have jasc software..
I download with olympus camedia 2.5, but doesn't seem to offer any such "rename date".. function. (which Is what I'm looking for)

What does this mean "mag cover CDR's" ?

Please, if you could help me locate such programs, free or shareware - doesn't matter. I just wan to reset the pictures to the orginal picture date.

True, the 3030 and 3040 are bulky.. but then, its a very good camera!

  9. Look on shareware.com there are many programs to do what you want. See any that mention exif data. Adobe photoshop album free trial.
Sometimes magazine cover discs give away older versions of software, look for photo editors and photo album software. Also look for irfanview a very good free program.
    try this link

I think there is a DOS command that does this. Not sure exactly which one, it's been a while since I've used it.
