  1. I'm burning one menu to go with one 2 hour TV show (about 90 minutes). The MPEG2 file is 2.3GB approx., but the final project size is 3.1GB. There is no audio in the menu and I would assume the MPEG2 file doesn't need to be converted. Anyone tell me why the jump in size? I'd like to get 2 eps on this DVD, but unless I can shrink the MPEGs without recapturing them, I'm out of luck.

I think I've read that program always converts audio to pcm - much bigger.
    There's no place like 127.0.0.1

    Yes.

Unless you have DVDit! PE which can also do AC3.

As much as I like DVDit! PE, I've taken a liking to TMPGENc DVD Author this past week. It's faster and take MPEG audio for my quick project where menu quality is not important.
