Skeeper.
Just found this link on the web using Ketstartup and Startservice key words. Looks like it might have something to do with a key driver and/or a dongle. Hope it helps.

As expensive as Scenarist is, I'm sure they have incredible customer support. Try contacting Sonic, I'm sure they'd be more than able to fix your problem.

So it is Bootleg...Oh well!!! Some folks want something for nothing and whine when it won't work...Too Bad.

No use in contacting Sonic unless you have opted to (or were required to) purchase one of their bronze / silver / gold service plans either with a hardware encoder or a workstation - typically.
What high end authoring are you doing that would require Scenarist? Care to share? -
Hah, contacting tech support is a joke. I can't believe you guys think that just because the software is so expensive that you'll get amazing tech support. Shows you have never had that experience before yourselves
I was using a 30 thousand dollar emulator last year and tech support for it was a freaking joke. But they could get away with it because what choice did I have? Not many things out there that can do what scenarist can do.
As for "high end authoring"..you guys are totally clueless. You don't need to be doing high end authoring to use scenarist. How about having the ability to use AC3 audio instead of pathetic cheesy mp2 ?? How about that AC3 is far superior to MP2 and also more compatible with all DVD players out there. I have a Pioneer that won't play DVD's with mp2 audio.
I'm sick of all the crappy DVD authoring programs out there like DVDit, or Ulead's product. They are all meant for clueless newbs who don't know what they're doing.
"high end" hah that's a laugh. -
@Saminai
I'd love to take on a couple of your rants, but I can't get past your attitude problem.Geronimo -
Hi
It could be a wrong or not installed driver called wnaspi32.dll. Try to download the aspi_v472a2 driver from the adaptec site.
Good luk -
the dongle and dongle driver are not installed -- for that you dont need a service plan (everything else you do) ... BUT - the dealer you get it from is supposed to take care of that issue ...
