I've started using DVD Shrink again since I'm tired of Instant Copy 7s poor disc sizing. I did some perfect burns of Shrink'ed discs using Nero 5.X, no problems at all.
I decided to try Burnatonce though, for a simpler solution, and so far I really like it. The problem is though, I have a 2X burner and cheap 2X-rated DVD-R media, which I always burn at 1X.
Burnatonce defaulted to 2X, but allowed me to select 1X. However, it burned a 4.3GB image to DVD-R in 29 minutes, and reported an average burn speed of "2.5X". So it looks like it didn't allow me to force a 1X burn.
The disc skips starting around 1 hour and gets progressively worse, a sure sign that it was burned at too high a speed.
Anyone have any experience with forcing Burnatonce to use a lower speed than it detects for your drive and media?
TIA, Carl
