Overclocking a capture card

Hello, I read somewhere that you can overclock a capture card. How do you do this, and what are the benefits?

never heard of it...but my guess is that it wouldn't do anything good. The capture card isnt the bottleneck in any system, so overclocking it would only potentially introduce interference from the increased heat and EMI.

Like i said..just a guess.

Not trying to be an ass, but after reading your question and looking around my computer room at 7 systems worth $30,000.00, I've got to wonder what you could possible be thinking about. You must also be one of those guys who thinks overclocking a Voodoo 3 is going to do something for you. Spend the big bucks and stay up with technology and you'll never have to worry about trying to squeeze a microknot of performance out of an old piece of hardware. I don't have to worry about overclocking anything, especially a capture card. I vote your question dumbest of the week. Anyone else. How about you FOO> Where are you?
