Hi,
I have recently purchased a Canopus ADVC100 converter, but I am having trouble using it.
I am connecting the analogue-out from my camcorder to the converter, which is then connected to the PC via fire-wire (analogue in is set & the dip-switches are in the appropriate position, ie PAL).
I have Windows 2000 SP4, and I am using Adobe Premier 6! I know the firewire card/cable work, as I have captured direct from a digital camera. I also know the camcorder and analogue cable works, because I have copied footage from camera to a TV/Video.
I took the converter back to the suppliers and it worked fine for them (in Premier as well)
Does anyone have any suggestions, with regards to any settings I may need to change or drivers/codecs which I may need to install?
I thought it was supposed to be a plug-n-play device!
When I first plugged it in, I am sure I got an image, but it was grey, but since then - nothing! Unless I connect a DV Cam directly into my PC, in which case that works fine.
Any help will be greatly appreciated, and if there is any info which is needed, that I havent included please let me know
Thanks, Matthew
