    hello all, been a while.

whan capping from a playstation 1 or 2 through a Canopus ADVC-100 into a Mac G4 (or PC, this happens on both my computers) I get a jittery choppy audio cap in perfect sync.

when I turn of "Locked Audio" on the ADVC-100 I get perfect sound but out od sync!

I have read that this is because this game console outputs a "hybrid" audio signal, whatever that means, but when using pass-through on my camcorder it works fine!

is there a way to stabilize this signal?

I have tried to pass through a VCR in between, and even used the optical (TOSLINK) out to go into my Yamaha reciever and analog out to the ADVC.

    SAME PROBLEM.

    help please.

    Andy

ps - if you solve this (without a non-ADVC solution) I'll send you a prize via Paypal. No sh*t.

  3. I don't think many people capture video games. I have only done it once, and I did not even bother hooking up the sound because I did not need it. I only wanted screenshots.

My only suggestion would be to try "low quality mode" (i.e. the disable macrovision trick). Its a shot in the dark, but its free to try.

The other option is to capture the audio out of sync, then re-sync it with software if possible. But feeding it through your video camera may be the easiest way.

  4. What happens if you play you PS into the TV and then us the 2nd scart on the Tv to ouput through the ADVC to the Mac?

That is if you have two scarts on the TV or a AV1 or AV2 ( with composite) ?

    Thanks

P.s What you mean without an non-ADVC solution as I thought that is your question. Capturing through teh ADVC to a PC or MAC?
