Just convert it into wav first.
    Note the clause that says:
It can recognize single-instrument polyphonic music
That limits the use rather drastically...
On the whole, I'd not expect too great results, as this is a rather complicated task - like trying to make the computer create a Word file from dictation (it can be done, but how reliable?)

  8. The results are not very good I'm afraid - tried this afternoon for a mate that wanted some mid's for his mobile. Even with a single instrument wav it was only just about recognisable against the source.

Just about any audio editor can do that. Goldwave is one of them.
Just load up the mp2 and save as wav.

If these 200 pages didn't give you what you are looking for, then what are you looking for? Obviously not ring tones in genereal...
At least here in Sweden, the papers are littered "services" where you SMS a code to them, and get the ring tone sent to you.

im looking for midi (or polyphonic) ringtones for a nokia 6610, i have the problem of not being able to use the websites where you send an SMS and then recieve the tone, this is due to where i live, my other option is to phone up but again because of where i live this does not work, so my only other option left is to download the file to my pc and upload it to my phone

  18. Original question: Mpeg Audio to MIDI
Use a video editing program, like Ulead VideoStudio, load your MPEG video file, click "save as wav". The audio will be saved as an .wav file.

MP3 to WAV: In Ulead just drag your MP3 file to the Audio Timeline, click 'save as wav'. You can also use many Audio Editing Programs, like Creative Wave Studio.

Wav to Midi: use the link supplied above and 'good luck'.

Midi to wav: Play the midi file with most any player on your computer, use most any audio recorder (like Sound Recorder), set recording input device (in Play Control) to "midi sync" then click record. Outputs a wav file.

Free Nokia ringtones, Sony - Ericsson keypress ring tones & RTTTL ringers!

I think this might be what you've been looking for (i don't know). :Google search string= download ring tones for cell phone
