I'm trying to back up the movie HOLES and have used Dvd Shrink, Dvd Decrypter, and Smartripper and all of them have froze about 20 minutes into the movie. I've tried the movie on all the dvd players in my home and all have had no problem playing the movie right thru. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I would try to clean the DVD with a damp lintless cloth rubbing gently from the center out to the edge, NOT in a circular motion. I have similar problems sometimes because the computer DVD rom seems to be more sensitive to disc errors than my set top DVD player and it has frozen.
Do you get any error messages at all ? -
DVD Players ignore errors and move onto the next data block. Your Computer doesn't. You have Bad/Dirty disk. Try the cleaning method. Alternately, tell DVDDecryptor to ignore the errors.

None of the programs that I used gave me error messages they just froze. I guess I'll try cleaning it, but its brand new.

And you may also want to try burning at a slower speed. It is how I got my copy of The Fellowship of the Ring to work.
