What disc should I use.

I have a Sony DVD RW DW-U14A, I have heard that they are really touchy about what disc you use. Can anyone tell me what DVD disc would be the best to use. I have tried some generic and Sony DVD-R but I am having proplems with skipping or just stopping when I try to play them.

First rule out that it's not your DVD Player. Try your disk in another player, and by all means check the compatibility list to the left. Sony media is good media. Also confirm what programs you are using to back-up your DVD with? I.E. your process etc. Help us to help you, okay?

I have check the compatiblity list and the player I own supports all formats. I am using DVD Xcopy and Ulead Movie Factory (haven't tried Ulead yet) for software.
