I have problem with the audio not being in sync with an avi file that I have converted to vcd, can anyone offer any help please, this is what I am doing:
1.
Avi file is run through Dr DivX
2.
The file is then cut into two with AVI splitter.
At this point if you run the file through Media Player or Real Audio the audio and visual is perfectly in sync.
3.
I then use Nero to burn a VCD (x4 Speed)
4.
Put the Vcd in the DVD player and the audio is out of sync by approx two seconds
What am I doing wrong ??
Thanks for any help

I think a lot of people have trouble with different versions of Nero.
Try here: https://www.videohelp.com/guides?tools=&madeby=&formatconversionselect=&osselect=&howtos...or+List+GuidesThere's no place like 127.0.0.1

Are you leaving out a step?
Avi to Nero?
I only made a few Vcds, but when dropping a compliant mpg file into nero VCD I never had a sync problem. I never let nero encode re-encode files though.
If you have AVI files, perhaps you should use tmpgenc or similar program to encode to mpg before giving it to nero!
