  1. I have been suffering trying to convert a Divx film to a DVD. The movie plays fine on my computer with no trouble at all.

If I run AVIcodec it shows me that the movie is done at 25 fps or PAL. I have been trying to encode it using TMPenc, to NTSC, but when I burn the DVD, the motion is way too fast and I lose the audio portion.

Should I just use TMPenc and convert using the PAL format? I have tried to use NTSC 3 times and of course it doesn't work.

I'm sure the answer is an easy one but I can't see it.

I have taken the audio portion and converted it to a .wav file using Veedbub, that's the only thing that has worked so far!

Thank you all for your time.

  2. You should try converting to NTSC film at 23fps. Use aviframe rate changer to change the video codec to 23.976 and then besweet to adjust your audio, then use tmpgenc as normal.

Hope that helps! 25-29.97 conversion i wouldn't recommend, you would need to play the film about 20% faster and that wouldn't be good otherwise tmpenc needs to pad frames and padding 5 frames per second is bound to create serious problems in motion pan scan shots!
