    Hi ppl ...Is there a tool ( freeware plz ) for splitting mpeg2's/SVCD's so that i can convert via TMPGenc and then split them at a desired position...?

    TMPGenc has a feature called "source range" so you can
    select a portion of the input to convert. If you are going to
    convert anyway that will be just as good.

    Also TMPGenc has a file splitter File->Mpeg Tools._Cut&Merge
