  2. What could be good/bad is, they dont advertise it in the store. I just got some FujiFilm CD-Rs and they are priced 17.99, but ring up 14.79, but thats not 40% off... its only 18% off. But they have a $4MIR which makes it 40% off, lame marketing. So I guess the average person wont know to buy em since you cant tell they are on sale, so there's more of the Fujifilm media there.

I also got some of the Fuiji/TY 4x 10-packs. They ring up as $20 (normally $25) and then there's a $5 MIR. I'm not sure if you can send in multiple rebates though. It's still a good price for 4X TY media without the MIR.

A sad day My local Best Buy now has the "made in Taiwan" Fuji 100 pack CD-Rs. You can still get the 30 & 50 packs of "made in Japan" Fuji CD-Rs pretty readily but I'm sure that will change. I'm not interested in buying them at $12 per 50 AT/AR, that's a little high compared to the deals we were getting on them a few weeks/months ago.

The 4X TY DVD-Rs are pretty reasonable - approx $1.67 each AT/AR and the 1X (usually 2X) Ritek DVD-Rs are around $1.32 each AT/AR in packs of 25 or 50. I think the +Rs are all made by Ricoh and are a killer deal because they are high quality 4X media and you can get them for the same thing -R people are paying for 1 or 2X Ritek media.

Yes very sad...to make matters worse I heard they might even be using CMC. What a slap in the face. They could have at least used Ritek which makes decent media. How does TY even stay in business these days? (maybe they won't for much longer ).

I'll definitely be watching for good deals on the remaining TY Fuji CD-Rs. After that, I'll probably switch brands if another major label isn't using TY as their supplier.

I'm hoping against hope that Fuji will let TY keep making their 4X DVD-Rs but that isn't likely. I bet that all of the Fuji media will go the CMC/Prodisc route unless sales start to plummet.
