    Yes,

petitions, writing your congressional representatives does A LOT. I can tell you not being active not only does nothing, but it giives special interests with big dollars in our Corpocracy much more power.

The RIAA, could not have done anything more stupid than to pick a child to sue !! I mean A CHILD. What the heck did they prove, except that they are pompous bullies.

Politicos have received thousands of messages about this and have turned the tide on the opinions of so many by doing this.

You would think they would go after someone who was making money on selling artist unauthorized copies of their work or doing something for profit.

    But a child ??

  8. Jolo is right. You can do alot by writing your congressman. The most important thing to a politician is getting re-elected, if they know their constituents are very much opposed to something, they will strike it down in order to get the votes and please them. But if they don't get feedback, they tend to side with the lobbyists that give campaign contributions since their actions would go unnoticed.

In fact, writing your representative (as opposed to your senator) will even be more influential. As they have a smaller voter pool, a single vote means even more to them.
