I'm having a problem with disk 1 from season 3 (region 1).
my problem is this:
i used DVD decryptor, i copied the whole disk to the hd. i then moved over the 2 required ifos and made sure the hex was correct for the region.
but when i went to test the movie on the comp before putting it through instantcopy, the english 5.1 didn't exist, only the spanish, french, and the commentary (english track 2). i used powerdvd and the english 1 track didn't show up for any of the 6 episodes.
the other 3 disks worked like a charm. does anybody else have an idea on why this might not ripped properly?
also, is season 3 only have 1 english track? (5.1 english for the actual episodes as compared to the commentary english?) i know season 1 and 2 have 2 english tracks besides the commentary.

are you talking about series 3 or series 1 regarding the missing soundtrack and what region is it?. I'm confused as it sounds llike you are talking about series 3. You said you've changed the region info in the IFO, yet the thread title is for series 1 and I not aware of an issue with series 1
region 1, season 3, disc 1 has 4 tracks with English,Spanish and French with one English commentary on all episodes. One episode has an extra commentary that can only be selected during playback so it's got 5 tracks
so can you just confirm what disc, series and region you are having trouble with and how you ripped it along with which guide you are using to fix the region issue -
i fixed the original post, i am talking about season 3. and i'm using 2CooL's method for fixing the region (i've tried both ways, just copy it from the dvd, and also manually hex editing it.)

if you have a region free DVD ROM/Burner drive then download DVDGenie and change the region code to region 1 for the PowerDVD
https://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=203#comments
if your drive isn't region free then try DVD Region Free which is a 30 day trial
https://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=204#comments
now play back the DVD and see if the audio works directly from the original which it really should
if it doesn't then your DVD is faulty in some way but if it does work then rip the complete DVD with DVDDecrypter using Filemode selecting all files but make sure region free is not selected
again play the ripped files with PowerDVD before modifying them and if it does play then it's something you are doing in the IFO that is affecting it. If it doesn't work then something is happening when you rip it
this will help you isolate the problem and then maybe a fix can be suggested by someone -
thanks for a few ideas. i'll have to check it here in a few days when i get a few hours.
