My teacher hated it, but I thought it was funny. I made it in InDesign class.

  2. Maybe instead of the inbreeding, you can say..

"Welcome to the south. Where people actually know what a grit is."

    or

"Welcome to the south. Where the only good tea is a sweet tea."

Or something a little less insulting / controversial. It would appeal to a larger audience and maybe your teacher. That is if the project is not finished.

The thing is I"m a southerner. I was born and raised here. I don't find it instulting in the least, it's more of finding humor in the stereotype of the South. Plus, in order to have humor, you need controversy. Other wise you have just a semi-funny line. Ya' know. Either way I turned it in tonight. Everyone else loved it, and I followed the instructions, so I got an A.

Good one. I think there should be a topic where we can discuss stereotypes and clear up some misunderstandings.

The assignment was to take a picture that she supplied and add a marketing slogan to it. I thought that that one was the best. :P

My dad said that it wasn't funny. I'd have to say he was wrong on this one personally.
