question about dvd player code

Hi everyone, I have a dvd Daewood 5800 who play region 1 and all region.
My question is this I checked different web site for buy dvd in french and most movie I wanted are dvd region 2. Well before i spend few $ on them I wanted know if all region will play also region 2.
The manual said This " Thearefore, this player will play DVD discs marked with labels containing the region number "1" or ALL.
I am a little bit confuse
The web I visit said nothing about all region , but only region 2.
Someone can explain this to me. Thanks

I would say it will not play region 2 discs. It will play exactly what it says "region 1 & all region discs" which means discs that do not have a region code. An alternative might be to use DVD shrink to make a backup of a region 2 coded disc and remove the region code.

Ok I just read how to crack the region, but I am still confuse. If I decide to use the crack for Region 9 = BYPASS/REGION-FREE) this will work on region 2 also , or I still need to have a dvd disk said region 2.
Also after changing the rgion on my dvd player ,can I get back the way it was before the modification.

Region free will play all regions and you can always set it back to the original region.
