I am trying to use WMM2 to make some home videos. I like the simplicity of it and everything, but I can't get it to be stable to make the video. It seems to crash all the time. Microsoft says it is a problem with ivivideo.ax from Intervideo. How do I take care this problem? Microsoft didn't have a work around and there was nothing on Intervideo's website about the problem. I do have Windvd4 installed on my computer.

Unstable you say?
Think of it this way.
It's made by an unstable company, that makes mostly unstable software, written for an unstable OS, and led by an unstable CEO.
I could go on, but I think you get the idea.Burn Baby Burn

Unstable? What an understatement! I "upgraded" from my never used version shipped with XP Pro, just to try it out, just for fun. After trying to do anything about 10 times at different occations, I've given up. On every occation, it just shuts down 5 to 15 secs after start. Not a single word as to why, it's just as if I'd closed it intentionally. Only good things are that it shuts down so quickly, there's no chance to start working on anything, so nothing's lost, and that my opinion on MS gets a good boost!

I think I pretty much found out the problem. I had captured the video with Premiere, and apparently WMM doesn't like the AVI's that are captured with premiere. I captured with WMM and everything worked fine.

Yeah WMM is junk. I can import DV, but as soon as I try to add a transition it always crashes.
