I have a board that takes two kinds of memory, SDRam and DDRam (correct term?).
What would the outcome be on fitting a single 168 pin 512mb stick of PC133 SDRam stick in the DDR bay?

    IMPOSSIBLE

The slot should be designed to prevent this.

I have seen dual RAM mobo but they have seperate slots.

edit : ignore that - applied to doing the reverse. Still cannot see it working though as the motherboard will be asking for data on both the rising and falling edges of the clock cycle. Something SDRAM cannot provide.

let me know how it works for you.
