I just got a GeForce4 MX440 with TV-out. It has S-Video and RCA out jacks.

My TV doesn't have S-Video, so I tried using the basic RCA. But it doesn't work at all. I plugged it and it seems like nothing is happening, no comunication between the video-card and the TV.

Is there some kind of stuff I should do for this to work? Some special config?

    Thanks.

Have you selected TV Out in Display properties?
Go into Advanced settings for the adapter and activate the TV Out as output. Make sure the RCA cable is plugged in first (possibly before booting).

Once you get into the display properties and then advanced setting, click on your GEForce 4 tab. Click on nView display mode. You'll want to select clone mode. That should output your desktop to your TV.

Yeah... that worked (selecting clone, etc), thanks!

BUT, there's a problem. If I boot the computer, and the tv-out works from the start, when Windows kicks in, the monitor stops working and only the TV displays the screen, and it does correctly. I had to unplug the cable from the TV in order for my monitor to work.

Now, using the nView settings, if I set the tv-out to work, it does, but the screen does not fit in the TV (on the monitor it is ok), I can even scroll it with the mouse.

    How come?
