How do I strip out FBI warnings and other obnoxious stuff that plays when disc is first inserted into player. I read about a way to do this using ifoedit but that doesn't seem to work if you want to strip a vob id in, for instance, vts_03_1 which doesn't have a corresponding ifo to load into ifoedit.

You are missing some files if you don't have an IFO for each
title set.
Recommend ripping entire movie (ALL of it ) then work on it. -
You have to rip the entire disc and/or convert the movie before you mess around with getting rid of the annoying b.s.
I usually get a full disc shrunk then change the menu commands from 'post' to 'pre' using ifoedit (editing the video_ts.ifo file). This tells the player to skip the illegal notices/ads/etc. Sometimes I get all the stuff skipped, other times 90%.
