ive just downloaded final destination and when i open it in virtualdub to cut the movie in half it comes up with this message which i wont type the whole message just what it tells me to do
decompress the entire audio stream to an uncompressed wav file and recompress with a constant bitrate encoder (bitrate 129.1 : 10.8kbps)
can someone advise me what to do here and what programs i need to do it, can i just do this in virtualdub? and if so how (in dummy step by step guide)
if i just ignore this message and cut the film in half all the synch is out and i cant fix it, ive stretched it and moved it and its still out.
please please help
thanks

Not trying to be your moral compass or anything, but perhaps you shouldn't so blatantly tell people you are engaging in potentially illegal activities... brings on unfavorable responses.
Addressing your question....
It's saying that the audio is encoded at a variable bitrate and you should extract the audio to a .wav file before trying to reencode to avoid any audio/video sync issues.
When reencoding, use the .wav file as your audio source and the original .avi as your video source. If you still end up with audio/video sync issues, chances are you have some bad frames in the original .avi file. -
Final destination sounds like it may be the place that you
