  1. Hi

Once you have authored the VIDEO_TS folder of your DVD movie, can you burn this to DVD by creating a data DVD in Roxio, and if so, which filesystem should be used so that it will play on a standalone DVD player?

Or... does this just not work?

    Chilly.

  2. guys

all i need to know is this:

i need to burn an authored VIDEO_TS file to a DVD+R (on a HP DVD 300n) so that I can watch it on my DVD player. Can you just burn the folder structure to the DVD i.e. like making a data disc - but perhaps you have to specify a specific filesystem for it to be readable by a DVD player i.e. ISO, UDF etc....

Does anyone know the answer to this?

Roxio is a bad burning program is why no one is answering .. most likely

but yes -- with a good burning program and UDF 1.02 version (or some use ISO/UDF ) you can burn a data dvd with only the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders ..

  4. Just select dvd video and then drag your video ts folder over to the disc and audio ts if there is anything in it (unlikely) I use nero to do this.

Post back if you have any problems

I use Nero Express and have had no problems burning my DVD+Rs. It will not play on both my standalone players (for reasons discussed at length elsewhere) but I understand Ahead has "fixed" this problem with Nero 5.5 and above.

  7. I had a look at the trial version of Nero 6 Bruning ROM, and it only appeared to burn miniDVD - I could not find anything on their web site that it burnt normal DVDs, anyone know anything about that? Does Nero 6 burn video to full DVD?
