    Hi everybody...

I need help!! what I want to do is create a vcd still picture slideshow with background music... I DON'T want to just convert it to a mpeg file with a time dely on my pics, I want to be able to manually flick though them with the remote.

I created an ordinary one just burning all my pics as seperate chapters as a vcd in Nero... the result was great... all I want is something like that but with background music...

Now I've read through HEAPS of topics on this site and they all seem to refer back to the guide called 'Create a still picture XVCD with continuous background music' which seems to be EXACTLY what I want to do except I can't seem to get MovieXone from anywhere! so does anybody know of another program I could use as a substitute, or another method to achieve this??

This is very important to me and any help would be appreciated.

    Hello

MovieXOne is only needed to convert jpg-images into avi-files. There are several free programs in the internet offered doing this. You can try for example the SlideShow Movie Maker at the following side: http://www.joern-thiemann.de/tools/index.html

I have personally not tested this program.

I have used Pinnacle Studio 7 and 8 to create movies on SVCDs with still photos on them. Each photo that you put on the timeline editor defaults to about 5 seconds of display. If you want it to display longer, just add it twice (or more) in a row.
One thing I would recommend with Pinnacle Studio is to get all of your pictures and/or home movies edited and arranged *exactly* as you want them first, and *then* add the music. If you add the music and then start adding or deleting pictures, you can really screw up the music track quickly.
