I use DVD Shrink Version 2.3 to rip data off my dvds but i have one question. On several of them, i accidently got rid of the wrong audio. Can someone please explain to me what my options are on saving space by deleting audio.

since i just started useing dvd shrink, on the 2 dvds i backed up today, i just kept every "English" audio track on there. But i have also saw people who say they only use the "AC3" format...but i dunno, id stick with every "English" track my self
Check Pic for example
I just used both "ac3" Audios -
Hello.
If all you want is the movie main audio, it is safe to only keep the AC3 6ch stream.
The AC3 2ch is normally either the same track in stereo (for 6ch incompatible systems), or a commentary of some sort. -
question: if i get rid of the 2 stereo track and just leave the 6, will the audio be able to be played on a tv with just two speakers? what about visa versa?

As far as I know, most DVD players have an audio setup menu in which you can choose to "downmix" AC3 6ch to 2ch.
Simply check that yours has this feature. -
I always keep the first AC3 6-ch stream only.
If you want to make sure which one to keep just put it in the player and try them. You stop me again whilst I'm walking and I'll cut your fv<king Jacob's off.
