Theres a new linkin park video coming on MTV2 sometime during September, rather than waste money and time capturing with my POS 800mhz system, I figured id buy a set top recorder, for quality and all that. Im aiming for a direct rip from my digital cable box to the recorder via S-video or auxillary. I saw in the DVD Writer list "Buffer size" important? better high? better low? how much time will a 80gig HD net me? As far as the full package goes, im looking at the Panasonic DMR-E80H. Read the comments, very positive, so should I give it a try?

80GB how much time ? It depends on quality. The best that you can do is to download manual from panasonic web.
BTW: In terms of this forum... writer and recorder is not the same.Pinnacle Studio 8 and DV home video editing (ver.9 already home) -
