  1. Hi Guys, I am new in this sort of stuff. I hope you guys can help me out here.

    I have some TV series in VCDs. How would I be able to have all these VCDs put into a DVD, so that when I watch I don't need to change cd all the times in a DVD player? I believe I need to convert the .dat files to .VOB files. Please help me to answer the following questions

    1) Sme VCD's the file extension in the mpeg folder is .dat, what is .dat files?
    2) How would I be able to covert the .dat files to .vob files? Which tools?
    Many Thanks.

  2. This assumes your player will play vcd dvd (check the player reports).
    All tools required are in the tools section here.
    Firstly extract the avseq01.dat file from the vcd to your hard drive with isobuster. Navigate within isobuster to the mpegav folder of the vcd and right click on the .dat and select Extract but filter only M2F2 Mpg frames.
    Name the file you will create something.mpg (dont forget the .mpg bit).
    Do this for all your vcds giving each .mpg a different name.
    Use this guide to convert the audio for each .mpg, then author and burn ;

    Repeat step 12 to load all your .mpgs

    You can fit approx 450mins on a vcd dvd
