Anyone knows how to make a DVD with picture stills rather than generating MPEG's from the pictures?? I can do that in VCD or SVCD but I'm not aware of any software that will do stills in DVD.
Thanks

I just bought "Memories On TV" and it is fantastic. There is a link over to the left in New Tools. In addtion to great looking transitions the program also pans over the pictures gently giving the still photos a more alive feeling. The program allows you to add menus and burn to VCD, SVCD, or DVD (DVD requires MPEG plugin which cost extra). I like the feature where it will burn the original photos on the DVD too so that they are archived for future use. The program costs about 50.00 with the MPEG plug in and for me it is well worth it.
On the other hand I also looked at the free program Slide Show Movie Maker. It is very good too (but not as good). This is a very configuarable program and I think you can get about the same results as you would get with "Memories On TV" but it would take more time to configure everything. It just gives you and avi at the end. You'll need several other programs to convert to mpg and then create your DVD files.
I got SSMM from this site

I know these 3 tools will:
Windows Movie Maker 2
DVD-Lab 1.3 Beta 2
Nero
There are guides for the last 2, don't know about WMM2.
