  1. We got new PC's at work today

    2.4GHz P4 with 800MHz FSB and HT
    80GB 7200 RPM drive
    512MB DDR-400 Ram
    Geforce FX 5200 w/128MB ram

I can't wait to give it a try!

Does anyone know if Pinnacle's DV-500 is supported on Win 2003 Server? Would I just use the XP drivers? That's the OS we're getting.

  3. Well, compared to the p3 600 I have now! LOL There have been lots of times I just worked from home cause I could get things done 5 times faster

I was hoping to get a 120BG SATA drive, but couldn't convince them of my need. I had to fight to get the 800MHz FSB and HT

The IT guys are in there installing everything right now Prolly won't get it today though.

I think our IT staff is afraid of Macs. They won't touch em'. Which is more than fine by me.

  7. Our IT guys always come to me when they have questions about Mac's or Linux

5 of us got identical PC's, so they are installing all the basic software and OS that everyone will use onto one machine, then image it, then restore the image to the rest or the PC's, then hand them over to us to add what ever specialized software we need. Like me, I'm primarily a Graphic Designer and video guy so I will add Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier, various encoding and authoring software, etc. and install my DV-500.

Our IT department has to install all their software on computers. Plus our virus and company software. But for the mac, they just give us the disks and leave it to us. Which is how I like it.
