I have recently tried following Lord Smurf's guide to MPEG-2 capture via ATI AIW.
Titled: CAPTURE GUIDES --> Capture MPEG with an ATI Card (http://www.lordsmurf.com)
Using his CARTOONS/TV SHOW settings to create what I understand is a D1 MPEG file.
The files come in great. I edit them with no problem using EasyMPEG and have a 45 min tv show at about 1.45G. Audio/Video sync are perfect! I thought I had finally found the friggin holy grail.
Then I tried burning to DVD with DVD-Lab, no De-muxing. The audio and video go horribly out of sync...from badly dubbed foreign movie (at about 10 minutes into the show) to no sound at all at the last 10 minutes of the show.
Then I tried burning with Ulead DVD Workshop, which I understand automatically Demuxes everything it touches. I may be wrong about that assumption, BUT...the same audio/video sync problem happens.
I am getting ready to waste (SIGH!) ANOTHER DVD in burning with DVD-Lab and having it de-mux, but my hopes are rather low.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
Kev
