I hope someone can help, i have just discovered instantcopy and copied a dvd to my hard drive hoping to shrink it with TMPGEnc and burn as a vcd. Is there anyway to change the pdi file into a file TMPGEnc will understand, i can play it with DivX player so i thought dr Divx might help but when it gets to the end of encoding it crashs twice now this has happened is there an easier way or do i keep trying dr divx until it does it then covert it back to mpeg any help would be greatly appreciated

elphias,
IC is used to create DVD iso's (PDIs) which are used to burn to DVDR. If I understand correctly, from what you state, is that you want to create VCDs to burn to CDR. So....
-use Smartripper or DVDdecrypter to copy the movies off in file mode
-use DVD2AVI to create a temp 'avi' file
-use TMPgenc to read the 'avi' file and convert to VCD
-burn with Nero or whatever your favorite burn tool is
The HOW TO on the left will show you the details and is fairly straightforward and can offer pretty good results.Have a good one,
