My burner has burnt at 2x on dvd-r are before. i haven't burn dvd's in a while and now its giving me an power callibration error every time i try to burn. I upgraded my firmware with 1.41 and force aspi. Anybody knows whats wrong?help please!

That usually means the recorder couldn't find the right level for the laser to burn the disc correctly - usually it's a faulty media issue, but if the discs used to work before you upgraded the firmware it could be that Pioneer took out that brand from their lookup table.
Try putting back in the version that used to work and see if that resolves the issue. If so, use up the discs in question before upgrading back to the newer version.
