    I use a panasonic E-50 to do my original conversion from usually vhs to dvd. Is there software that would easily and quickly make thumbails say every 5 minutes or some time???

    Most authoring software will do thumbnails based on chapter points. The only authoring tool that I know that will do random thumbnail images is DVDComplete.

    I hear that is no longer available, but you might get lucky and find a copy of it sitting on someones shelves for sale.
