  1. I wish to do 2 things: 1) watch TV in full screen on my computer (with 2 monitor support) 2) capture video.

I bought an ADVC-100 about 6 months ago and it worked for awhile and then stopped. After multiple phone calls and sending the unit back for "repair" it never would work again. Finally they agree to send me a a new unit and it is working great again. I am still trying to decide on software to use with it. Ulead does not crop. Sony/Vegas/Sonic Foundry has a new Movie Studeo 3 that looks great but they do not have a full featured download trial yet.

I bought a Leadtek TV Card and it worked at first but then stopped. They have some new drivers but the install is complicated and I have not figured out how to install them.

ASUS has stopped making their TV card.

I just bought the new ATI TV Wonder Pro PCI. I am not happy. The drivers conflict with my ATI 9800 Pro. The video quality is poor.

Does anyone know of a program that would allow the ADVC to be used to watch TV in full screen mode?

Does anyone know of a really great TV tuner card? I looked at the ratings and there just does not seem to be a really good TV tuner card available.

The only product about to be released is ATI's All in Wonder 9600 with dual monitor support (first time for an All in Wonder card). I hate to lose the performance of the 9800 Pro and put out that much $ for a video card I do not need.

    Thanks.

A run a Win PVR 250, which has an MPEG-2 hardware encoder chip. Using in conjuntion with a TIVO style software program (Snapstream). PVR 250 Comes with remote and allows full screen operation. Excellent captures, straight to DVD using TNGEnc and IFOEdit. No audio/video snyc issues either. They have just released a USB model with hardware encoder as well. I don't care personaaly for the software they bundle with it, but they are shipping an editor with it I haven't figured out yet.
