    How good is this codecs compare to uncompressed and Mainconcept DV codecs

    Differences between the Canpous and Mainconcept DV codec are negligible.

    For Decompression and further compression into mpeg it really shouldn't matter.
    For Recompression to DV use either, but not the M$ codec it is crap.

    edit : uncompressed will of course be superior - for obvious reasons - no compression
