34 bucks at office depot. No rebates but also nothing about the speed rating.

  2. Thanks for the tip. I buy all my Verbatum DVD+R 4X at Office Depot because it's the only place I can find it around here. Hopefully it's their 4X. I'm gonna check it out today.

Anyone visited a local store to find out if these -Rs are the unlisted speed or 2x disc? I might pick up a couple, but only if they are the 2x. I don't want any CMC crap.

  6. I picked some up today in Greensboro, NC. The -R's are CMC. DVDInfo reports them as 1X Burn Strategy, but they always burn at 2X in my Sony DRU-510. I've burned plenty of these same ones in the past with no problems. I didn't buy the +R, but the package says they are 4X.

+Rs are list as 1x-4x and are labeled DataLife

-Rs have no speed listed and are labeled DataLife Plus

I haven't opened them yet. Can I get the DVDinfo using a DVD-rom or do I need a burner? My burner is in the mail....

DVDInfo should work with your DVD-ROM.

  10. I tried to get some at the local office depont and they are sold out. All they had was the +Rs. Damn, do you have to sleep outside their store or something to get -Rs.
